  • Stopped off to watch some football and there was no problem with the reception as there is in some of the bars, also the price of the beers was less expensive than other places.

  • Once again spend most nights with a visit to JJs Bar where we were made very welcome. Great service ad great choices of sport on the TVs. Tapas selection good with portions being substantial. Can't wait to visit again. Andy.

  • JJs bar has a great location by the beach, with palm trees to sit under and watch the world go by. They have good cheap drinks, honest food, and football on the TV. Jason is very friendly & helpful. Well worth dropping in for a quick one if you are passing by.

  • Friendly to a fault - this bar is some 50 metres from the sea. The owner and his wife are as helpful as they could be, willing to cook from early in the morning until late at night. The drinks are cheap (an unbelievable 2 euros a pint) and there are many tasty Spanish, Mexican and British tapas to choose from (including British sausage for those who specifically request British sausage as a tapa). For those who like their sport there are no less than three giant televisions with every major sporting event covered live in an entirely safe environment. Our grand daughter Summer (11) loved the relaxed atmosphere and the stunning views of the sea front. Thank you to hosts Laura and Jason. Recommended for a taste of home.

  • Turned up at this bar for the second time and was made to feel very welcome. The owners are very pleasant and helpful with advice on the area. Tasty tapas and quality food choices especially Sunday roast! We would recommend this bar to everyone if only for a passing drink or to watch sports for a few hours.

  • Very good place for that long lazy lunch. Good food and selection of drinks together with a nice location. Sports on TV if you want it, but always enjoyable without.

  • Great for watching football, fairly priced food and drink overlooking the beach. Furniture a bit dated but hey you're on holiday. Pleasantly run by the owner and staff.

  • Friendly staff, beachside bar / restaurant... lovely food... was very windy when we arrived but there was a nice covered corner that kept the wind out when we ate there. Very clean, reasonably priced, extensive menu.

  • Great friendly bar and very low prices. Not to be missed. Even though we stay at the other end of Roquetas we always make a few trips down to JJs. Lovely beach side by run by Jason and Laura with English TV, WiFi, Tapas and English type meals. Drinks are extremely well priced. On one visit we had 2 soft drinks, 4 alcoholic drinks including a big brandy plus 2 tapas and a dessert all for 20 euros. Nice relaxed atmosphere and Jason is really helpful answering any questions people have and helping them sort things out. A popular little place for both ex-pats and holiday makers.

  • Great spot just off the beach for brunch, a meal or a casual drink. Staff are welcoming and very thankful for your business. Serve Koppaberg & Corona and have great tapas too. Free Wifi and show all English/Irish channels, all you have to do is ask! Highly recommended.

  • Excellent bar new owners Jason & Laura who are very accommodating. The best sunday dinner I have had in a long time abroad - loads of fresh veg, roasties, yorkies and thick slices of silverside beef saturated in gravy - an absolute heaven 4.50 med portion or 6.50 large they also do mini tapa at 1.50 well worth the money. This place has happy hour mon to fri 20% off all drinks, it's a bargain at 80c for a Tinto de Verano. The food is amazing thanks for the huge tuna house salads and the best thing about this place has to be the mexican tapa - there are 3 mexican tapa to choose from; creamy chicken, spicy meat and fajitas at 1 euro exceptional value for money. There is a tapa menu with other dishes on it but for me mexican hit all the notes. Give it a go, will see you next year. Thanks for everything.

  • This is a clean place run by very friendly people, a change of management from when it was called Bar Cardies. Great tapas and raciones. Plenty of inside tables, and outside on the passeo directly overlooking the beach. Nice location not far from the Evenia Zoraida Park Hotel complex. Prices are very reasonable and all food is very good. Recommend this one if in the area (bingo, entertainment etc in the afternoons and evenings as well.)
